This edition has developed from Mark Titchner's proposal for The Signs Project, a part of SLG Local. This 18 month collaboration between the SLG and the residents of Sceaux Gardens Estate, Peckham, addresses the role of signage and communication across the estate, with the opportunity to commission a new artwork for the Tenants and Residents' Hall façade. Titchner has taken the words, “our work is today together" and proposed setting them in a geometric design covering the TRA hall. The words derive from the line, "We are the beginning our work is today", taken from, “Who are We? Manifesto of the Constructivist group", 1922.

In his proposal, Titchner commented: “I have used straightforward language to produce a text that highlights the key concerns of ownership, communication, representation, community and collaboration. My aim was to propose a vivid, powerful presence at one of the key entrances to the estate, colourful and challenging; a statement of intent and aspiration, complimenting and giving form to the idea of "Working together to make Sceaux Gardens a better place to live for everyone".
