General

The South London Gallery Shop sells books & magazines, gifts, cards, stationery and artist limited editions. The Shop opening hours are:

  • Mondays Closed
  • Tuesdays 12pm-6pm
  • Wednesdays 12pm-9pm
  • Thursdays 12pm-6pm
  • Fridays 12pm-6pm
  • Saturdays & Sundays 11am-6pm

 

Please note our opening hours will change during the Christmas season. Please check the main SLG website for updates: www.southlondongallery.org.

Orders

Yes. You can order from the SLG’s online shop at any time. Delivery times will vary depending on the items you wish to purchase, the delivery address, and the time of year. During busy retail times such as Christmas, Frieze art fair and SLG artists’ edition launches, we may take a while longer to process your order. We will always endeavour to make this clear at the point of purchase.

 

Please note:

Please note our final order date for Christmas delivery will be Thursday the 12th of December 2024. Any order received after the 12th of December cannot be guaranteed to arrive before 24th December. Purchases made during the Christmas holidays will be shipped at the beginning of January.

Yes. When you make a purchase from our online shop, you can select in-person collection at checkout. You will be sent an email once your order is ready for collection. We expect you to make the collection within 30 days of notification. If for any reason you may be unable to collect it within 30 days, simply send us an email on shop@southlondongallery.org, or give us a call on 0207 703 6120.

Yes. You will be able to purchase in-store and have your order sent to you. We will endeavour to settle shipping costs with you at the time of purchase, although this may not always be possible. We will discuss this with you ahead of purchase.

Shipping

Most shipping and postal services do not provide insurance for fragile items such as ceramics and glassware. We suggest collecting these items in person or organising a special service with us directly. These services will be subject to special rates.

 

If you would like us to use our regular service to send an order containing fragile items, we will do our best to ensure they are safely packed; however, we cannot guarantee these will be safe from any damage that may occur on their journey to you. If you wish to discuss alternative shipping arrangements, please email us at shop@southlondongallery.org.

We pack all our artist limited editions with great care to ensure they will arrive at their destination safely. Each individual edition requires tailored packaging and will be sent once one of our art handlers has prepared it for shipping. From receiving your order, to packing and booking the most appropriate shipping method, we endeavour to ship your edition within 10 working days. We estimate that your edition will arrive at its UK destination within 10-15 working days from successful payment date.

 

For international deliveries, we will provide you with a tailored time frame upon request. Please email us at shop@shouthlondongallery.org.

 

If you purchase an artist limited edition together with another item from our online shop, we will post them separately. In this case, you might receive any other items you have ordered before your artist limited edition.

 

The South London Gallery cannot provide an absolute guarantee on delivery times, but our dedicated staff will always endeavour to send your order at the soonest available opportunity.

As with all purchases, liability of the item is the responsibility of the customer after the point of purchase. If you would like us to send you your order in the post, please read the below conditions carefully.

If you are purchasing books, stationery or gifts from us (excluding ceramics, glassware, limited editions and artworks) we will send your order with the basic coverage offered by the shipping services we work with. If you would like a specific level of insurance or delivery service used, please contact us at the time of purchase, so we can do our best to accomodate your requests.

Deliveries

Your order will normally be dispatched within 3-4 working days, at which point you will be sent a dispatch email from us. How long your order takes to arrive will vary depending on the items you have purchased and their most appropriate shipping method.  For artist editions please see question 8. The approximate time frames are as follows:

·         UK - 2-5 days

·         EU - 5-10 days

·         US - 5-10 days

·         Rest of the world - 14-21 days

If you are experiencing any delay outside of the estimated timeframes, please email us with your details and order number at shop@southlondongallery.org.

International customers should keep a close eye on the tracking information and respond to any customs queries where required. All customs duties are payable by the receiver.

Yes. If you wish to have your order expedited, you can choose our express delivery option at checkout. With our express delivery option, we will endeavour to post your item in 0-2 working days, and we estimate that your order should arrive at its UK destination within 3 working days, and within 7 working days for most international destinations.

 

International orders will always be dependent on customs clearance, so please keep an eye on your tracking information, and submit information when requested to ensure the timely delivery of your order.

If your order arrives damaged, we kindly ask that you document any damage to the parcel and its contents and send it to us at shop@southlondongallery.org. After this is received and confirmed with us, you will be able opt for a refund, or to have a new order sent to you. Find more information on our returns policy and our terms & conditions here.

Returns

If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we will happily exchange or refund your items within 14 days of receipt, as long as it is sent back to us in its original condition, this includes original packaging. If you have purchased your items in-store, you can request an exchange or refund within 30 days.

 

We will inspect all orders returned to us and proceed accordingly. If the items returned fail to meet the criteria outlined above, we will be unable to exchange or refund your items.

Limited Edition

The South London Gallery does not offer framing services for our artist limited editions. If you are interested in framing an artist limited edition you purchased with us, we will be happy to provide you with the specifications of the frame we have used, as well as with our list of recommended framing services.
