Artist Christina Kimeze has produced Arches, 2025, a new limited-edition artwork to coincide with her first major solo exhibition in the UK at the South London Gallery, Between Wood and Wheel, 31 January – 11 May 2025.
Kimeze’s paintings evoke images in the mind’s eye and the shifting nature of our relationship to our inner lives. Patterned interiors and abstracted landscapes create a sense of mood rather than describing specific places. Within these ambiguous spaces are female figures based on the artist, her friends and family, but they could also be images of ourselves or others from our dreams.

Christina Kimeze lives and works in London. Kimeze studied at The Royal Drawing School postgraduate programme 2021-2022 where she was awarded the Sir Denis Mahon award; and received her undergraduate degree at the University of Oxford in Biological Sciences.

Recent exhibitions include: Women & Freud: patients, pioneers, artists, Freud Museum, London (2024); Drawing Biennial 2024, Drawing Room (2024); Soulscapes, Dulwich Picture Gallery (2024); Present Tense, Hauser and Wirth, Bruton (2024); Something other than the world might know, White Cube, Paris (2023); Interior, Michael Werner Gallery, London (2023); and The Great Women Artists IV, Residency at Palazzo Monti, Brescia, Italy (2022).

The South London Gallery Shop sells books & magazines, gifts, cards, stationery and artist limited editions. The Shop opening hours are:

  • Mondays Closed
  • Tuesdays 12pm-6pm
  • Wednesdays 12pm-9pm
  • Thursdays 12pm-6pm
  • Fridays 12pm-6pm
  • Saturdays & Sundays 11am-6pm

 

Please note our opening hours will change during the Christmas season. Please check the main SLG website for updates: southlondongallery.org.

Your order will normally be dispatched within 3-4 working days, at which point you will be sent a dispatch email from us. How long your order takes to arrive will vary depending on the items you have purchased and their most appropriate shipping method.  For artist editions please see question 8. The approximate time frames are as follows:

·         UK - 2-5 days

·         EU - 5-10 days

·         US - 5-10 days

·         Rest of the world - 14-21 days

Please note our final order date for Christmas delivery will be Thursday the 12th of December 2024. Any order received after the 12th of December cannot be guaranteed to arrive before 24th December. Purchases made during the Christmas holidays will be shipped at the beginning of January.

If your order arrives damaged, we kindly ask that you document any damage to the parcel and its contents and send it to us at shop@southlondongallery.org. After this is received and confirmed with us, you will be able opt for a refund, or to have a new order sent to you. Find more information on our returns policy and our terms & conditions here.

If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we will happily exchange or refund your items within 14 days of receipt, as long as it is sent back to us in its original condition, this includes original packaging. If you have purchased your items in-store, you can request an exchange or refund within 30 days.
