This limited edition was produced in 2013 by Edward Thomasson on occasion of the exhibition Inside at the SLG in 2012.


British artist Edward Thomasson presented an exhibition of new works in the South London Gallery’s first floor galleries following six months as the inaugural Nina Stewart Artist in Residence in the SLG’s Outset Artists’ Flat. Edward’s work explores the role of performance in everyday life. 

 

ABOUT EDWARD THOMASSON

Edward Thomasson, born in  Staffordshire, UK, in 1985, lives and works in London. Collaborating with actors, dancers, singers and musicians, his work focuses on the systems and rituals of contemporary survival and their relationship to performing and performance. Thomasson also collaborates with Lucy Beech on performance and video works. Thomasson completed his BA at Chelsea College of Art and Design, London, in 2007 and went on to gain an MA at Slade School of Fine Art, London (2009-2011).  His exhibitions include: Find A Problem To Solve,  Furini  Arte Contemporanea, Rome, 2012; One Another’s Company, IMT Gallery, London, 2011; Drill and Touching, Tank.tv, London, 2011; New Contemporaries, The A Foundation, Liverpool, touring to ICA, London, 2010; Plain Sailing and Find a Problem to Solve, The Life Room, CHELSEA Space, London, 2010; and Self Protection is Not Magical,  (with Lucy Beech) Schicksal Oder Vaseline, The  Showroom, Berlin, 2010. Since his residency, Thomasson was selected as one of Art Review’s ‘2013 Future Greats’, and has had two solo exhibition, Just About Managing, Southard Reid, London, 2012, and The Present Tense, commissioned by Chisenhale Gallery and Create as part of the Chisenhale Gallery Create Residency (2012-14).

The South London Gallery Shop sells books & magazines, gifts, cards, stationery and artist limited editions. The Shop opening hours are:

  • Mondays Closed
  • Tuesdays 12pm-6pm
  • Wednesdays 12pm-9pm
  • Thursdays 12pm-6pm
  • Fridays 12pm-6pm
  • Saturdays & Sundays 11am-6pm

Your order will normally be dispatched within 3-4 working days, at which point you will be sent a dispatch email from us. How long your order takes to arrive will vary depending on the items you have purchased and their most appropriate shipping method.  For artist editions please see question 8. The approximate time frames are as follows:

·         UK - 2-5 days

·         EU - 5-10 days

·         US - 5-10 days

·         Rest of the world - 14-21 days

Please note our final order date for Christmas delivery will be Thursday the 12th of December 2024. Any order received after the 12th of December cannot be guaranteed to arrive before 24th December. Purchases made during the Christmas holidays will be shipped at the beginning of January.

If your order arrives damaged, we kindly ask that you document any damage to the parcel and its contents and send it to us at shop@southlondongallery.org. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we will happily exchange or refund your items within 14 days of receipt, as long as it is sent back to us in its original condition, this includes original packaging. If you have purchased your items in-store, you can request an exchange or refund within 30 days.
